One cool hidden design detail of these Hans Wegner chairs is how they were engineered to hang from a matching custom hook. I built a scaled version, and it fits perfectly while doubling as wall art!
Before filling the space with records, I also needed proper storage to hold the collection. The result is a not-so-vintage turntable stand scaled down from a Pottery Barn piece in cherry.

So close, yet so far. I ran out of thread right before weaving the final seat on this miniature folding chair pair.
While that’s on hold, work on their home begins: a retro music room built inside an old tube radio cabinet.
Wendy Whitten Langley spotted the shell, which was perfect for building a custom room box. First look at the setup here.

Big thanks to Wendy Whitten Langley for passing on the soldering skills she picked up at Guild School this summer!
Safe to say if I had a better idea of the process before making the parts, I wouldn’t have made the handle connection quite so tiny! 😂

After wrapping up a miniature project and a full-sized forge build this month, I couldn’t resist combining the two. 🔨
Hammering aluminum at this scale was an experiment, but I love how it turned out—and Wendy now has a custom spatula for her dollhouse kitchen!

Had a great time at IGMA Guild School this summer. A month and a few days later, I’ve finally finished my homework from Craig Labenz class!
The chair is a miniature version of Hans Wegner’s 1949 folding chair at MoMA
