Macdarrow Obiora, professionally known as Macdarrow, is a dynamic Nigerian born, Atlanta-based artiste celebrated for his soulful blend of Afrobeats, Highlife, and Afro-fusion. Born and raised in Port Harcourt in the early ’90s, he hails from Orumba-North LGA of Anambra State and is a proud graduate of Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Owerri, where he studied Quantity Surveying. Renowned for his richly emotive songwriting, rhythmic depth, and compelling storytelling, Macdarrow’s music bridges the vibrancy of African tradition with the polish of contemporary sound. His authenticity—both on stage and in the studio—has earned him a growing fanbase and a distinctive voice in the evolving African music landscape. Affectionately called “Sabiboy of Africa,” Macdarrow discovered his artistic passion early, beginning his journey as a dancer before transitioning fully into music in 2014. Since then, he has honed his craft and collaborated with notable producers including Livingstar, Tommybeatz, Miconbeatz, Wizzypiano, Beckyjay, and the award-winning Masterkraft. In 2017, he performed at the Plugged Music Festival, sharing the stage with top Nigerian acts such as Flavour, Kiss Daniel, Illbliss, and Mayorkun.
