One of the biggest debates after surgery is compression.

“How long should I wear my faja?”
“Three months?”
“Six months?”
“A year?”

The truth is, every surgeon has different protocols, every body heals differently, and every recovery journey is unique.

As a post-op provider, I believe compression is one of the most important tools you have to support your results. The swelling may go down, but your body continues to heal and remodel for months.

Some clients stop at three months.
Some continue for six months.
Some wear some form of compression or waist training for a year or longer.

My advice? Stay consistent. pay attention to your body, and remember that recovery doesn’t end just because the incisions have healed.

This Leilo Baddie needed extra compression to help manage fluid buildup in her lower back, so i created a custom compression board using chuck pads to provide additional support.

This is why post-op care isn’t just about following a routine….. ➡️ it’s about understanding the body, recognizing what’s needed, and making adjustments safely along the way.

The goal is always the same: support healing, reduce complications, and help our clients get the best possible results.
