This conference Black Women Sell Live 2026, and I'm reminded of something I know deep in my spirit: proximity changes perspective. When you sit in rooms like this, you stop asking IF it's possible and start asking HOW FAST.

I came from 25 years of wearing a law enforcement uniform, protecting others. Now I'm building a legacy that protects, empowers, and elevates other people. And God keeps opening rooms I once only prayed about. To every woman watching from the outside 👇🏽

😳 He threw utensils at her. By standers men stepped in and told him to stop. The situation was over. But she kept yelling, kept threatening, and she kept pushing.

Let me be clear: he was wrong. Throwing objects at someone is never justified. She was wrong after distance was created between them she should have instead of provoking the situation even more. But I spent 25+ years in law enforcement, and I've seen how fast "it's over" turns into "it's too late."

When someone gives you an exit, take it. That man handed her a way out. Distance is your best protection.

Your words and how you react can change the story. Threats made after the danger was eliminated can make you look like the aggressor to witnesses and police.

Being right is not the same as being safe. Someone who already showed you violence has told you what he's capable of. Don't test him. Walk away, document it, and report it.

Your pride will heal. Some injuries won't.

A little girl steps onto an elevator. A grown man she doesn't know leans in, presses his head against hers, and gets physically "affectionate" in a way no stranger ever should. As she exits, he reaches toward her.

Seconds. That's all it took.

🔹 Elevators, stairwells, and hallways are confined spaces where predators test boundaries

🔹 Children need permission to pull away, speak loudly, and tell a trusted adult immediately

🔹 Adults nearby: if something looks wrong, step in, speak up, and report it

Talk to your kids today. Tell them their body belongs to them and they never have to be polite to someone who makes them uncomfortable.

For those who know me personally know that I also do ministry. Today it felt right to talk about this. Fasting isn't just skipping food, it's a spiritual discipline that realigns your focus. Here's how to do it with purpose, not just to loose weight.

3 keys to fasting properly:

✅ Set a clear intention on what you are fasting for before you start

✅ Pray with scripture, throughout the day not just one time

✅ Break your fast by thanking God and know it is already done your faith is pleasing to God.

Lastly Fasting is a spiritual tool. Use it right and it'll strengthen your mind, body, and soul spiritually. Fasting builds an intimate relationship with God.
