Ken Carson, O***m recording artist and Playboi Carti’s protégé, is known for his infectious, rambunctious version of rage rap. With his Xperimenting Tour making its way across the United States, his hometown Atlanta show made one thing clear: the kids want to rage.
With opening sets from Prettifun, xaviersobased and DJ Moon, the arena was already charged before Carson took the stage.
From rhinestones and fishnets to halter dresses, flared jeans and more, Carson’s audience is as immersed in the fashion as they are in the music.
And if you’re afraid of the mosh pit, this one might scare you.

From Miss Tina Knowles creating Destiny’s Child’s early looks, to House of Deréon, “Formation,” Ivy Park Rodeo, “Renaissance,” and “Cowboy Carter,” Beyoncé has spent decades showing how expansive Southern style can be.
Homemade. Glamorous. Futuristic. Western. Couture; All of it can live in the same visual language.
So for B’Day, we’re looking back at a few of the ways Beyoncé has taken her Southern roots with her into the world stage.

Which Beyoncé era changed the game most for you?
Atlanta has never had a shortage of people who love fashion. The bigger question is whether we have enough infrastructure helping the people who make it build sustainable businesses here.
That’s what made Harlem’s Fashion Row bringing HFR House to Atlanta feel pertinent.
Black-owned brands, including BruceGlen, Brain Love, Sylvia Mollie, Jai Lyle, and more, came together for a night of shopping, fashion, and community — giving people a chance to discover designers and connect with the people behind the clothes.
We need more spaces that help the people building it thrive here.

What does Atlanta need next to become a stronger fashion city?
I have to admit: I’m kinda over calling everything chic.
The whole “kinda chic” trend took over my timeline and made me realize… at this point, what does “chic” even mean?
We use it for minimalism, French-girl dressing, maximalism, quiet luxury: basically every aesthetic we approve of eventually gets called “chic.”
So has the word become so broad that it barely means anything anymore?
What does “chic” mean to you in 2026?

The clothes, the painted sets, the drama of it all — this is what I miss when fashion magazines let the fashion build the world instead of treating it like decoration around a celebrity.
It makes me wonder why international editions so often feel more willing to be weird, theatrical, and specific while so much American fashion media plays it safe.
Maybe the problem is that fashion needs more room to actually say something, rather than a bigger celebrity donning it.

Founded by Lauren Amos 22 years ago, Wish ATL became a fashion staple in Little Five Points and across Atlanta.
Known for coveted sneaker releases, streetwear, art and brands that weren’t always easy to find elsewhere in the city, Wish helped prove there was a real community in Atlanta hungry for fashion beyond the traditional luxury-store experience.
The closing has reportedly been described as a personal decision by Amos rather than one driven by financial trouble. Amos also owns Antidote, one of Atlanta’s newer luxury fashion destinations.
Still, Wish’s departure leaves a real hole in Atlanta’s fashion landscape—and raises a bigger question about what happens when the spaces that helped build a city’s fashion culture begin to disappear.

We’ve officially lost another diva, and I’m not happy about it!
Dolly Parton was a fashion and country music icon who turned being called “too much” into the thing that would make her unforgettable.
The hair, the rhinestones, the heels, the hyper-femininity never came off as a costume. It felt like a very particular Southern idea of glamour that she carried with her for decades and eventually made recognizable around the world.
There will never be another Dolly. 🤍

After years of irony, distortion and provocation, Pierpaolo Piccioli seems interested in a different kind of disruption: going back to shape, volume and the architecture that made Balenciaga radical in the first place.
Maybe beauty isn’t the opposite of rebellion, but it could be the next version of it.
