The initial points standings for Team Georgia 2027 have officially been released!

As part of the United States Golf Association’s U.S. National Development Program, Team Georgia is selected by key representatives from the GSGA and Georgia PGA. Final selections will be made in early 2027, with the primary focus on outstanding competitive performances by eligible junior golfers during the 2026 season in eligible events in Georgia and nationally.

Players must play in at least one (1) GSGA or Georgia PGA event included in the criteria in order to be considered for Team Georgia selection, along with meeting other requirements such as age, Handicap Index® limit among others.

Points standings will be updated on the 1st and 15th of each month. For more information on Team Georgia, eligibility requirements and events and full standings, please head to the link below!

What an incredible week at Ocean Forest Golf Club for the 105th ! And we couldn’t do it without the help of so many great folks!

We cannot thank our GSGA volunteers enough for their work this past week through multiple delays and all they do throughout the year! We greatly appreciate their support at GSGA events and their dedication and love for this great game!

Thank you to Ocean Forest Golf Club for the hospitality and support! We appreciate the entire staff, inside and outside, for their hard work providing a great experience for all on and off the course! And thank you as well to the club members who graciously volunteered their time to support as walking scorers, spotters, shuttle drivers and more!

It was a week we will not forget and thank you to everyone who helped make it happen!

Congratulations to Rebecca Lee of Johns Creek and Mia Sessa of Augusta on qualifying for the U.S. Women’s Amateur at yesterday’s qualifier at Eagle’s Landing Country Club!

Lee earned medalist honors at -5 (67) and Sessa finished at -3 (69) to grab the second spot.

Great playing by Rebecca and Mia and good luck this August in Tennessee at The Honors Course!

Congratulations to Evan Rogers of Duluth on capturing the 105th at Ocean Forest!

Rogers finished at 10-under (69-69-72-68) for the week to win by 8 strokes! It’s the largest margin of victory at the Georgia Amateur since Russell Henley claimed his second title in 2009 at Country Club of Columbus.

With his victory, Roger’s earns exemptions into the 2026 U.S. Amateur, 2026 Southern Amateur and the 2027 Jones Cup Invitational!
