48 years ago today, the Dead started their 3 night run in the cradle of civilization. I used this photo by Adrian Boot as the basis for my 2025 Sphere poster which I called “Rocking the Sphyramid” after their Egypt box set “Rocking the Cradle: Egypt 1978.” The border on the poster is a direct tribute to the one by Alton Kelly used on the album artwork.
