Since its founding in 2007, the Atlanta-based staibdance has made an indelible mark on contemporary dance both locally and abroad.
We are rooted in movement, culture and community. George Staib, founder and artistic director, is an accomplished choreographer whose work has been seen across the United States and the globe. An Armenian-born transplant to the United States, he began his dance training at the prestigious Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet and now serves on faculty at Emory University in the Dance Program.

We're excited to welcome back Alma Mexicana, danza folklórica to this year's festival! Alma Mexicana has shared the traditional dances of Mexico with audiences for 14 years, celebrating the rich cultural traditions of different regions across the country.
Led by founder and director Hilda Estrella de Lev, who has more than 30 years of performance experience and 27 years of teaching experience, they bring the spirit and soul of Mexican dance to the festival.
Join us August 24-29 for a week of classes and performances featuring Alma Mexicana and 8 other Atlanta-based dance companies and artists.
