“To see her follow in my footsteps, it’s a feeling I can’t put into words. She’s brilliant, confident, and truly lives out the Grady mission," said Nurse Practitioner Lyndon Jones.

From shared lunch breaks to a shared purpose, this duo is making a difference every day.

Inspired by her dad’s example, Brittany Jones, Medication Access Coordinator, brings that same empathy and compassion to every patient she serves. “He’s always treated people with such care and respect. I just want to be that same kind of blessing to others.”

This Father’s Day, we’re celebrating the pride, the legacy, and the love that show up both at home and at Grady.🏥💖

“The best part about being a dad is having a daughter. I just want to be the best dad I can be.”

For Qayvion Wiggles, Advanced EMT, firefighter, and paramedic student, every day on the job is different, but nothing compares to his newest role: dad.

Balancing long shifts, school, and life at home isn’t easy, but Quavian and his partner make it work because being a dad means showing up, growing every day, and giving his daughter the world.

"I want my baby to have everything and anything she wants, and I hope to be the coolest dad."

From saving lives in the field to raising one at home, Qayvion is stepping into fatherhood with heart, purpose, and pride.💙🚒🩺

First day. First patient. One unforgettable moment. 🏥💙

When the doors opened at Grady South Emergency Department, one of the first people we welcomed was Linda Barber, accompanied by her husband, William.

They live just around the corner. And even more special? They’re both Grady babies.

It’s a full-circle moment that speaks to something bigger: bringing trusted, advanced care closer to home. Grady South is here, and we're just getting started.

June 2 has always meant something to Atlanta.

On this day in 1892, Grady Hospital opened its doors and made a promise to care for this city. Today, we're opening the Grady South Emergency Department and making that same promise to South Fulton. Because when your child is sick, when every second matters, when your family needs help, care should be close to home.

This isn't just a new emergency department. It's the next chapter in Grady's story and a major investment in the future of South Fulton.

Atlanta has grown. South Fulton has grown. And Grady is growing with you.
