On February 15, 2014, 1,700 kids participated in the Too Good for Drugs Junior Gasparilla Distance Classic at the University of Tampa. Congratulations to all the champions for healthy living! "They've been in classes for nine months, and now they're ready to throw a parade. Fifth grade students enrolled in the Too Good for Drugs and Violence program provided in all Carlsbad elementary schools, Jefferson Montessori Academy, Trinity Christian Academy and St. Edward School will be walking in and riding on floats from Church Street to the Municipal Beach Park Saturday to commemorate their graduation from the program and their transition into middle school with a commitment to good morals."
