Sukkot is here, a joyful week of gathering in the sukkah, celebrating the harvest and sharing meals under the sky. From all of us at Jewish HomeLife, we wish our residents, families and team members a happy and festive Sukkot!

Our sukkah is ready for Sukkot, thanks to some very special volunteers! ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ‚

A heartfelt thank you to The Auxiliary of the William Breman Jewish Home for filling our sukkah with pumpkins, mums, fruit and so much festive spirit for our residents to enjoy this holiday.

Welcoming fall, one candle at a time ๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ

The Auxiliary of the William Breman Jewish Home kicked off the season with a candle making class for our residents! Each resident rolled their own beeswax candle and made it their own with pressed flowers, autumn leaves and ribbon. No two turned out alike, and every one was beautiful.

Thank you to Stephanie Shields for always bringing fun, hands-on activities that keep our residents creating, connecting and smiling. We're so grateful for all you do!

Yesterday was World Alzheimer's Day. In observance of Yom Kippur, we're marking it today. ๐Ÿ’œ

This year's theme, "The Earlier You Know, The More You Can Do," is a reminder that a timely diagnosis can make a real difference: in treatment options, in planning, and most of all, in peace of mind for families.

If you've noticed changes in memory or thinking in someone you love, know that asking questions early is one of the most caring things you can do, for them and for yourself.

If you're wondering what those next steps might look like, we put together a guide on when to choose memory care: https://bit.ly/3STWUCo

Wishing our friends, supporters, and community a peaceful and reflective Yom Kippur. May this sacred day bring renewal, comfort, and peace.

In honor of National Assisted Living Week, Berman Commons celebrated with a community talent show that brought together residents, families, friends, community members, and guests from our sister communities, The Balser & Zaban Towers of Jewish HomeLife. We were also honored to welcome a special guest, Dunwoody Mayor Lynn Deutsch.

Sugarman Hall was filled with smiles, laughter, applause, and plenty of TALENT!

Congratulations to Balser Tower resident Harriet, who took home the grand prize with her beautiful performance of โ€œSunrise, Sunsetโ€ from the Broadway musical Fiddler on the Roof.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, cheered on our performers, and helped make the celebration so special. It was a wonderful reflection of what life at Berman Commons is all aboutโ€”connection, community, joy, and celebrating the unique talents of the people who make our community so special.
