At Bleeding Edge, being on the cutting edge means a great deal more than chasing the latest technology, trend or headline.
It's about knowing how to sort through the noise, question the conventional narrative and get to what actually matters.
AI is moving fast. So are the predictions, warnings, regulations and opinions surrounding it. That makes thoughtful analysis more important than ever.
In his latest article, Bleeding Edge founder Rob Burgner takes a closer look at the growing push to regulate artificial intelligence, the concerns driving that conversation and an important question that deserves attention: Who benefits from the rules we put in place?
It’s a perspective worth reading as businesses, policymakers and the public try to separate legitimate AI risks from fear, hype and competing interests.

The DOJ's updated ADA Title II rules just made WCAG 2.1 Level AA the standard for state and local government websites and apps. Deadlines hit April 2027 and 2028.
That sounds far off. It's not.
This isn't just a "fix the website" project. PDFs, forms, portals, vendor platforms, anything linked from a government site can fall under scope. If your business serves municipalities, this could land on your desk too.
The good news: accessible design tends to make sites better for everyone, not just compliant. Clear navigation and readable content help every visitor, and search engines reward it too.
Why not reach out to Bleeding Edge to start figuring out what needs attention now, while you still have time to do it right instead of scrambling later?

This week, Plan A got hot. Literally. 🔥
We were filming a podcast in a small Atlanta studio in the middle of July. Between the southern heat OUTSIDE and the studio lights, four podcasters and three members of the production team INSIDE, the air conditioning simply could not keep up.
Then the equipment started feeling the heat too.
The camera battery overheated. One of the SD cards overheated. The team overheated. Any one of these situations could have brought the entire production day to a screeching halt.
But we had both battery backups and two spare SD cards, along with a portable fan to help keep it all cool. We swapped what needed to be swapped, adjusted and kept filming.
Without those backups, all the preparation, scheduling and time invested by seven people could have gone straight down the drain.
That is the value of hiring an experienced team.
We have been in enough rooms, worked through enough surprises and made enough mistakes over the years to know that Plan B is not optional. It is part of Plan A.
“Life is all about how you handle Plan B.”

Most business owners don't think twice about the images on their website. They really should.
A single photo with an unclear license can trigger an intimidating demand letter, even years after it's been published. While legitimate copyright infringement should always be taken seriously, not every claim is as straightforward as it appears.
Knowing where your images came from, understanding the license, and keeping good records can save you time, money, and unnecessary stress.
A strong digital presence can be as much about reducing risk as it is about great marketing.

Most small business owners think prospects see the polished version of their company when they search you on Google.
The reality?
They see the website you forgot to update.
The social profile you abandoned.
The review from 2018.
The YouTube channel you didn't know still existed.
Now AI is finding it all, too. 🕷️
Your digital footprint tells your prospects whether you're paying attention to it or not. The question is: does that story help build trust or create confusion?
At Bleeding Edge, we help businesses uncover the digital artifacts hiding across the internet and identify the gaps, inconsistencies, and missed opportunities that could be costing them credibility, leads, and revenue.
If it's been more than a year since you've taken a hard look at your online presence, it may be time for a Digital Audit.
Sometimes the biggest growth opportunity isn't creating something new. It's fixing what already exists.

Remember when website traffic meant people?
We're entering an era where a growing percentage of internet activity isn't coming from humans at all. It's coming from bots, AI crawlers, scrapers, and automated agents interacting with websites on our behalf. A new report from Yahoo tech shows automated traffic is now exceeding human traffic online.
As marketers, we find that both fascinating and a little unsettling.
For years, we've measured success through clicks, impressions, visits, engagement, and traffic. But if more of the internet is being consumed by machines, those metrics become a lot less meaningful on their own.
The real question is no longer, "How many visitors did we get?"
It's becoming, "How many actual humans paid attention?"
This shift will force businesses to think differently about content, SEO, advertising, analytics, and customer acquisition. The organizations that adapt early will have an advantage. The ones still chasing vanity metrics may find themselves celebrating numbers that don't represent real people at all.
The internet is evolving. Reach out to Bleeding Edge to ensure you’re evolving with it.

I was in a little country store years ago and saw something I’ve never forgotten.
There’s a kid, maybe 9 or 10, just standing at the front of the store.
Runny nose. Shirt half untucked. Belly out. Hair doing whatever it wanted.
Not moving. Not browsing. Not… anything.
His mom is about 10 feet away. She glances over and says, in a slow Southern drawl:
“Pugsley.”
Nothing.
A few seconds later, a little louder:
“Puuuugggssslyyy…”
Still nothing.
Finally, from across the store:
“Pugsley, do somethin’!”
😂
For whatever reason, that moment stuck with me.
Now, anytime I catch myself overthinking a project… tweaking something that’s already good enough… waiting until it’s “perfect”…
I hear it.
“Pugsley… do somethin’.”
Most businesses don’t have a marketing problem.
They have a Pugsley problem.
Websites that are “almost ready.”
Campaigns that are “about to launch.”
Content that’s been “in progress” for months.
Meanwhile… nothing’s happening.
But it’s not just business.
It’s the side project you’ve been “meaning to start.”
The channel you’ve been “thinking about launching.”
The songs sitting half-finished.
The idea that keeps tapping you on the shoulder… and getting ignored.
At some point, motion beats perfection.
You don’t need flawless.
You need live.
You don’t need a masterpiece.
You need momentum.
So if something’s been sitting a little too long…
You know what to do.
Do somethin’ Pugsley.

Some historical figures had miracles. Others needed a branding agency. 🍀🐱
Yesterday (March 17th) wasn’t just St. Patrick’s Day…it was also the feast day of St. Gertrude of Nivelles - patron saint of cats, travelers, gardeners, protection against rats… and even mental illness.
That’s quite the portfolio.
Yet somehow:
Green b**r > cats
Shamrocks > rat protection
Parades >… everything else
Which leads me to one unavoidable conclusion:
St. Patrick clearly had a better marketing team.
A reminder for all of us in business:
Having a great “product” isn’t enough.
If no one knows your story, someone else’s story wins.
Even if your story involves protecting humanity from rats.
