After each program day, Leadership Atlanta class members meet in small groups to unpack their learning. These conversations are facilitated and guided by alumni volunteer facilitators.

Yesterday, alumni who have volunteered to serve as Study Group Facilitators for the Class of 2027 gathered for a training to prepare for the year ahead led by Chairs DeRetta Rhodes ’24 and James Summer ’24.

We are grateful to everyone who is giving their time and leadership to support the Class of 2027. And a special thank you to DeRetta Rhodes ’24 and the Atlanta Braves for hosting such a wonderful evening!

"On Tuesday's, We Takeover."

Last night, Leadership Atlanta alumni kicked off the 2026–2027 Takeover Tuesday season with a fantastic evening of connection and conversation at Retreat by the Gathering Spot. A special thank you to The Retreat for hosting us and providing such a beautiful setting for the event and the over 175 alumni who attended!

A signature component of the Leadership Atlanta experience is the Community Capacity Projects where class members work alongside an Atlanta nonprofit organization to support a strategic priority. We are proud to announce this year’s partner organizations who will work with members of the Class of 2027:

Achieve Atlanta
Ahmaud Arbery Foundation
Atlanta Legal Aid
Common Good Atlanta
The Center for Family Resources
Gideon's Promise
Out of Hand Theatre
Status: Home formerly Jerusalem House
Theatrical Outfit

Yesterday, the selected nonprofit organizations had the opportunity to meet their alumni project facilitators and begin planning for what is sure to be an impactful year of service and collaboration ahead!

Congratulations to Tameka Rish '20 on her new role as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of AMB Sports and Entertainment!
