OUR YOUTH ARE TAKING ACTION.

Our Youth Chairs have decided to take action by coming together to build their own youth team and organize their first meeting. What makes us especially proud is that they took the initiative themselves. They are not waiting for someone else to tell them what needs to be done, they are beginning the work.

We believe real change also starts within our communities. We cannot always wait on the government or wait until money becomes available. Sometimes change begins with ordinary people deciding to use their time, their voices, their talents, and what they already have to make their communities better.

And who better to be part of that change than the leaders of tomorrow?

These young people are coming together to discuss education, community service, child safety, youth development, leadership, and some of the challenges affecting children and young people in their communities. Most importantly, they are asking themselves, “What can WE do?”

Saving Children Across Nations is honored to have young people willing to serve without looking for a paycheck, but because they genuinely want to contribute to the betterment of their country, their communities, and the future of other young people.

To our Youth Chairs and the young people who have chosen to stand with them: thank you for your initiative, your leadership, and your willingness to serve.

(SCAN) Welcomes Children Back to School in Togo, West Africa

Saving Children Across Nations (SCAN) is proud to officially introduce our SCAN Togo team! 🇹🇬

We have been waiting for this moment, and we are excited to announce our very first SCAN event in Togo, .

On Sunday, September 13, 2026, SCAN Togo will host its first Back to School Program in Town, supporting children from the with book bags, notebooks, pens, pencils, and other essential school supplies as they begin a new school year.

This event will be headed by Mr. Oscar M. James , SCAN Togo Head Representative and Board Member of Saving Children Across Nations, alongside our growing team on the ground.
For SCAN, this is bigger than giving away school supplies. This marks the beginning of a new chapter as we establish our presence in Togo and begin building relationships with the children, families, and villages we will serve.

2025/2026 WASSCE ENHANCEMENT CLASSES...... A SUCCESS! 🇱🇷📚

Saving Children Across Nations (SCAN) is proud to celebrate the success of the 2025/2026 WASSCE Enhancement Classes in Liberia, providing additional academic preparation and support to more than 1,000 students across Montserrado County and Margibi County.

We are proud to celebrate the outstanding examination results achieved by students who participated in the enhancement classes, including Sister Shirley Kolmer Memorial Catholic School, which reported a 100% pass rate.

A big thank you goes to Scan C Johnson, Founder & CEO of Saving Children Across Nations (SCAN), for her tremendous support and commitment, for her hand in making this program possible. She personally funded the program from her own pocket, without grants, outside investments, or donations.

(SCAN) Saving Children Across Nations extends its sincere appreciation to all participating schools, teachers, administrators, parents, volunteers, team members, and everyone who gave their time, knowledge, and support to help make the enhancement classes a success.

Most importantly, congratulations to the students. You showed up. You studied. You worked hard. And your results are a reflection of that commitment.
