Mushrooms mushrooms everywhere! We see a lot of mushrooms in our tree inspection travels. You will find them in abundance after periods of rainfall. Many of them last only a few days before they sporulate (cast off microscopic seeds) and disappear. Some are edible, many are not. Don't eat one unless you're sure!

This is an active animal nesting site. How do you know, without sticking your fingers in the hole? Look at the fresh light brown gnawing marks around the edge of the hole: a squirrel is keeping its teeth ground down.
