**Crocheted Poinsettia Doily**

I truly LOVE crocheting. It is something that makes me extremely happy and to see a lovely creation being brought forth by my hands, one stitch at a time, is an amazement.

I get so many people that ask "How much?" When I tell them, "Oh, this shawl (that is over 5 ft long, I may add) is $50.00" or something to that effect, I often hear, "Oh, okay. Thanks."

I appreciate the fact that anyone even thinks my work is worth asking about. But what I cannot wrap my head around is the fact that people apparently want something that is handmade for a Walmart price.

It takes A LOT of time to make anything. Dedication and perseverance is only a part of it. Patterns that are poorly written or rows that have to be yanked out over one mistake found too late.

I thank everyone that has asked about my work and that has bought something that I have made. But don't expect a Walmart price for something that has taken me longer to make than it would take Walmart to import from another country, in bulk, and stock/sell. I usually have 2 days per week that I can work on anything, and these days are dedicated ONLY to crochet.

That said, I will continue my creations now, leaving you with one thought only:
