TEACH Educational Consulting

The core of my work centers on teaching cultural awareness and respect. In a world where we see fundamental humanity under attack, the work is even more important. To that end, I am offering an 8-week virtual summer program for teens 13-17 to reinforce standards through authentic, international learning. The link is below. Feel free to DM with any questions.

Global Adventures Through Literature and Arts! | Small Online Class for Ages 13-17 Students will enhance their literature and arts awareness while learning about various countries. This interactive enrichment course infuses multiple standards-based activities to stomp summer slump while capturing a spirit of fun!

Part of TEACH's philosophy and systems for culturally-sensitive, student-centered empowerment and academic success is anchored in building a diverse community from which I continue to learn. I'd love to share about it with you Wednesday, February 4th.

Last Monday (MLK Day) was windy and I wasn't going to post this picture. Then I realized the message was more important than me looking "perfect". Dr. King understood that only through the celebration of ALL people could true greatness be realized. This is the message I seek to instill in my students and clients. We don't have to be perfect. We don't have to have all the answers. We just have to try. Try to be better. Try to help others. Try to see beyond ourselves to the larger world. That's when we TRULY learn to be great!

Truer words have never been posted! EVERY child deserves... The reason I do what I do!

Recognizing victory over oppression and celebrating the liberty that comes with wisdom and knowledge.

Continuing to work to create safe and positive spaces for ALL children. I hope yo nwill join me in Part Two of a five part series on supporting diverse learners. You can register here. Half of all proceeds will be used to build opportunities for students.

TEACH From The HEART Part 2: Engage Through Experience Learn how to leverage your students' lived experiences to create a greater WHY to classroom instruction.

As those of us in education prepare for what is likely to be an extremely turbulent time in our field, I believe we must be even more intentional about shining our lights and being advocates for those who have often been overlooked and undervalued. With this in mind, TEACH Educational Consulting, LLC is hosting Part One of a 5-part series on leveraging cultural capacity to engage and empower diverse learners. I hope those committed to providing a quality, equitable education for all students will join us. Registration information is provided below. Looking forward to seeing you there!
