We provide educational programs, business alliances, tools and resources that help women business owners grow their businesses. Did you know that Georgia ranks first in the nation for growth in women-owned businesses? According to the Fourth Annual American Express OPEN State of the Women-Owned Business Report, women-owned businesses in Georgia have grown 118%, employ 240,000 people and contribute $45.6 million dollars to our state economy. NAWBO was established to help level the playing field and drive growth for women-owned businesses. The organization started by pushing for legislation that would allow women to get funding for their businesses without a male co-signer. Can you imagine needing your 19-year-old son, who you were still supporting financially, to co-sign for your business loan? Our goal this year is to drive programs, training, and networking opportunities that will fuel your success in the Greater Atlanta area. We have often been told by many of our members that the comradery is as important to their success as the programs and networking opportunities. We want to assist our members in all aspects of business ownership. Please join us this year by getting involved with the programs we have planned.
