We are so proud of you, Ebony!!!
The Atlanta Opera is proud to celebrate chorus member Ebony Collier, who has been named Cobb County Schools Middle School Level Teacher of the Year.
Drawing from her own performance background, Ebony has transformed the fine arts program at Tapp Middle School, introducing theater experiences that have become some of the school's most popular offerings and helping students discover confidence and ambition they didn't know they had.
This recognition is richly deserved and a powerful reminder of the impact that performing artists have far beyond the stage. Congratulations, Ebony. We are incredibly proud of you.

Tomorrow night, history is made.
The world premiere of Water Memory | Jala Smriti opens at the Ferst Center for the Arts at Georgia Tech as part of The Atlanta Opera's NOW Festival — a deeply personal new opera about memory, family, and the connections we fight to hold onto, even as they begin to fade.
Composed by Kitty Brazelton with a libretto by Vaibu Mohan, this extraordinary new work was born from The Atlanta Opera's 96-Hour Opera Project and has grown into something truly special. We cannot wait to share it with Atlanta.
Tickets from $35. Festival passes available for $50. atlantaopera.org/now.
