COLAGEr voices belong wherever decisions are being made about us—including at the U.S. Supreme Court! That’s why, together with Family Equality and Rocky Mountain Equality , we filed a friend-of-the-court brief in St. Mary Catholic Parish v. Roy, a case that asks whether preschools participating in Colorado’s taxpayer-funded Universal Preschool program can exclude COLAGErs. Our Voices brief shows what it means for real families when a publicly funded preschool benefit is not available to every child on equal terms. Thank you to everyone who shared their story! Are you registered for Atlanta Family Weekend? COLAGE is excited to showcase diverse programming focused on community building, learning, and sharing about our multiracial LGBTQIA+ families!

COLAGE is hosting a Queerspawn Unite! track within the Rustin Institute’s annual IGNYTE conference. The track will offer five workshops focused on the real lives and issues q***rspawn and LGBTQIA+ families face. These workshops are developed and presented by COLAGErs for COLAGErs, just like our Family Week workshops. The workshops in the IGNYTE conference are a dynamic opportunity for q***r parents to learn about current social justice issues and advocacy.

There will also be a Youth Kickback Space staffed by COLAGE facilitators with art supplies, food/snacks, and a chill atmosphere. All youth are welcome to hang out there with or without parents anytime throughout the conference. Atlanta Family Weekend happens in the context of Atlanta Pride, so there are other local LGBTQIA+ events you can attend as well.
