If anything has been a constant in life and in country music, it was Dolly. Been listening to her for as long as I can remember.
That Heartsongs live album has been the soundtrack to every single road trip we’ve ever taken as a family. I could sing it line by line without missing a beat. The cool part is watching that get passed down—seeing my kid grow up to genuinely love and respect the person Dolly was. She’d send me quotes, we always made sure to hunt down every Dolly spot at the park, and we always hoped we’d finally catch her live at Dollywood. She’s completely gutted today.
Dolly is a legend because she helped mold country music, sure, but even more because she helped mold an entire generation of people. Between her music and the Imagination Library touching lives all across the globe, her footprint is massive. And her personality? Completely infectious. Just relentless kindness, grit, and gratitude.
She’s going to be missed by so, so many. Rest easy, Dolly. 🦋✨

Finally saw Train last night. I’ve been to a lot of shows lately, but this one was just… different. It completely teleported me back in time.
My 16-year-old self took over the second they started. Hearing Meet Virginia, Drops of Jupiter, and Mississippi was something else. Pat Monahan’s voice is still insane. And seeing Butch Walker….our local GA guy…let loose on Mississippi? I’ve never heard it played like that. His solo was honestly on a whole nother level.
It wasn’t just a concert for me, it was pure nostalgia. Time stood still for a couple of hours and I loved every minute of it. Easily the best show I’ve seen in a long, long time

Today, we remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Memorial Day is more than a long weekend…it’s a time to reflect on the sacrifices made for the freedoms we enjoy every day.
May we never forget those who served with courage, nor the families who continue to carry their memory forward.
