OUR MISSION
Johnson STEM Activity Center, Inc. (JSAC) has been serving Atlanta's children for over a decade.
As a 501(c)3 non-profit, our mission is to empower the next generation of innovators to dream big, build fearlessly, and tackle global challenges through Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, our mission is to empower students from diverse and underserved communities through exposure to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Our students develop self-confidence and leadership skills by experiencing success while overcoming a multitude of challenges in STEM.

This summer Dr. Barney Graham, inventor of the Covid vaccine, demonstrated 3D printed models of different viruses to students attending summer camp at the Johnson STEM Activity Center!

These STEM, sports, and entertainment powerhouses align in their work to empower students with skills and resources to pursue their goals!
Inventor Dr. Lonnie G. Johnson welcomed All-Star Jaylen Brown Rapper/Actor Ludacris, and students from Brown's 7uice FoundationBridge Program to the Johnson STEM Activity Center (JSAC). Brown founded the 7uice Foundation to increase student access to education, extracurricular opportunities, arts, and digital literacy; and its Bridge Program immerses students in STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Arts and Mathematics). Ludacris collaborated with Brown and made an appearance as Bridge students spent a day at JSAC!
We love collaborations that build with and for the youth, and we especially love to see the innovation and creativity brought by the youth! A huge thank you to Jaylen Brown, the 7uice Foundation, and Ludacris!

Johnson STEM Activity Center and the Foundation will host The Innovators Table Gathering Spot Retreat, at intimate fundraising dinner and thought leadership experience featuring National Basketball Association (NBA) All-Star, entrepreneur, and philanthropist Jaylen Brown alongside renowned inventor, engineer, entrepreneur, and founder of the Johnson STEM Activity Center Dr. Lonnie Johnson.
The evening will bring together a highly curated audience of about 100 influential leaders from across business, technology, sports, philanthropy, government, and culture for cocktails, dinner and a featured fireside conversation. Themed The Innovator's Playbook: How Visionaries Engineer Impact, the discussion will explore innovation, ownership, resilience, leadership, artificial intelligence, and the power of unconventional thinking to shape the future.
Rising 6th to 8th graders are invited to attend a free one-week robotics camp, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. June 22-26 at JSAC! Limited spaces will be filled on a first come, first served basis.
Congratulations to Majazz Hanif, a JSAC alumnus turned Founder and Director and Coach of A.T.O.M. Robotics! While teaching JSAC students engineering skills, design thinking, and offering them organizational and homework help, Majazz was earning a Master of Science in Intelligent Robotics Systems! A JSAC record! This year FIVE JSAC-sponsored FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) teams advanced to the Peachtree District Championship held at Mercer University this past weekend. Each year, JSAC has had multiple teams advance to state but five is a JSAC record.
One of the teams, G3 Robotics of Midtown High School (Henry W. Grady High School) has advanced to the World championship in Houston!
Congratulations to G3 Robotics, FIRST Team 1648, 100 Scholars Robotics Alliance, TeknoSquadRobotics #5219, Georgia Cyber Academy Champions #8577, and Neo Engineering League of America's Discbots #6023.
JSAC sponsors multiple robotics teams providing practice pits, a maker's space, computer lab, competition practice fields for robotics teams housed at and visiting JSAC, and additional support.
A huge congratulations to all of our robotics coaches and their teams for an FRC season well played!
