I’ve seen so many of these in my pond/lake dredging career. But I’ve never figured out what exactly they are? They have a firm consistency and are very clear inside.

Have been walking along the canals in England and am finding these marks on some of the bridges, anyone know what they are?

What are these? I have no clue what they are. They are in an American Legion display case.
