Some need a room to practice the pitch before it counts. Some founders need capital.  Many need someone experienced to share their wisdom. Or lunch next to a person that changes the trajectory of their business.

So we built all of it. Not as “perks,” as answers.

That work has created 15,000 jobs. That’s a number we can count. The ones we can’t are even better: the intro that became a co-founder, the advisor hour that killed a bad idea early, the founder who almost quit and didn’t.

Startups are hard. Community shouldn’t be.

Rain doesn’t stop a Chowdown

Today was Bring Your Supporters Chowdown at Sylvan. The people who talk you off the ledge at 11pm, who show up to the demo day, who ask “how’s the company going?” and actually want the long answer.

Partners, parents, kids, best friends. The ones who believed before there was traction to believe in.

The sky opened up over South Downtown, and no one was phased. G L I D E P I Z Z A got the pies here hot. King of Pops pushed a cart through a legitimate downpour so we could have Honey & Sesame and Mango Tangerine pops in the middle of a storm.

Villagers rushed to help our team usher in dozens of pizzas.
Soaked shoes, zero complaints.

That’s the whole point of Chowdown. Not for everything to be perfect. Not for the sun to always be shining. But for us to come together, take a moment, connect, and build.
South Downtown • ATL, we’re really glad we’re here.
