As we enter the post-Easter season at our church, let’s continue the momentum that God has given us. I am excited about the new people that have come to our church as well as those who have come back to church. I want to encourage you to do a few things.

1. Continue to attend faithfully. God has given the church to us as a gift for our benefit. Attending church regularly encourages us, challenges us to use our spiritual gifts for the benefit of others and empowers us to bring people to Christ. It also empowers your worship.

2. Keep on inviting people to attend with you. One of our value statements is “Inviting is evangelism.” Inviting is not just something to do on Easter, but it is also something we should do throughout the year.

3. Pray for our church. I believe God answers prayer! When you pray for people to be saved and to grow in their faith journey, God pays attention. Prayer is a vital way to help you grow and God commands us to “pray without ceasing.”

4. Stay involved in serving. We have many who serve God by serving others. Serving helps you grow in your faith. It is an act of selflessness. Scripture teaches that serving is an act of humility as well. Remember, “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” Would you like to have more of God’s grace in your life? I know I do. Tap into God’s grace by humbly serving him by serving others.

5. Continue to give faithfully. We can’t do our job as a church without you! I am so thankful for the many people who give to God and to the mission of our church. You are a blessing! Keep your eyes on Jesus. He is the one who provides for you and our church.

Kim and I love you and can’t wait to see you this Sunday.

P.S. Men and boys, don’t miss the men’s breakfast on April 25th. We will meet at 8:30 for a delicious breakfast and time of fellowship.

P.S.S. Moms, make sure to be at church on Mother’s Day, May 10th. We will honor moms and we have a gift for you. Don’t miss out!
