On Saturday, September 12, we celebrated the unsung heroes of our community at the annual Atlas Alliance Kinship Graduation Brunch in honor of Kinship Awareness Month! đź’•
We recognized the extraordinary love and dedication of the grandparents, aunts, uncles, and other relatives who have answered the call to care—and celebrated eight caregivers who completed their individualized care plans. Their achievement reflects tremendous strength, perseverance, and commitment to building safe, stable, and loving homes for their families.
A heartfelt thank-you to our Atlas Alliance Legacy Committee for cooking, setting up, sharing their wisdom, and making this meaningful celebration possible.

This Grandparents Day weekend, we’re honoring grandparents whose role became bigger than they expected. They are packing lunches, checking homework, making appointments, setting boundaries, giving hugs—and doing the daily work of raising a child all over again.
We see you. We appreciate you. And your role deserves support, not assumptions!

The mission is stronger when thoughtful people choose to stand behind it. Meet Marcus Emanuel , one of the leaders helping guide Atlas Alliance.
Marcus brings extensive strategic oversight, organizational governance, and personal life experiences to our board and believes sustainable impact happens when clear vision meets disciplined ex*****on.
We’re grateful for the time, insight, and heart Marcus brings to this work.

There is a kind of courage that is quiet. It looks like rearranging a bedroom. Learning a new school schedule. Making one more plate at dinner. Showing up when a child’s world has changed.
This Kinship Care Month, we celebrate the caregivers whose “yes” creates safety, belonging, and another chance to simply be a kid.

At Atlas Alliance, charity means more than giving—it means standing beside grandparents, relatives, and other kinship caregivers who step up to provide children with safe, stable, and loving homes.
Every gift, volunteer hour, partnership, and act of kindness helps strengthen a family and gives a child the opportunity to thrive with the people they know and love.
Donate today, together we can keep children with family and out of foster care. 🌿
Imagine getting a phone call today—and by tomorrow, you are responsible for school, meals, appointments, routines, transportation, and making a child feel safe. For many kinship caregivers, there is no long runway to prepare. There is simply a child who needs family. That is why support cannot wait.
Share this reel so more people understand what “stepping up” can really mean.

Meet Holly McBee York, CEO/Executive Director of Atlas Alliance. Holly leads our organization’s work to strengthen kinship families, expand community partnerships, and ensure caregivers have the support they need to build safe, stable, and loving homes.
"Atlas Alliance is important to me because we know children do better when they can safely remain with family. By supporting the grandparents and relatives who step up to raise them, we help children stay connected to the people who love them while giving caregivers the support they need to build strong, stable families"

Sometimes stability begins with something practical: groceries, hygiene items, school supplies, legal referrals, respite, tutoring, or help during the holidays.
Atlas Alliance Family Support responds to real needs that can place added pressure on kinship households. Meeting a practical need today can help a caregiver keep building a stable home tomorrow.
Donate to help provide practical support for kinship families.
