We actively seek out the employees that other staffing companies turn away. We're fighting homelessness and poverty in Atlanta with jobs. First Step seeks to help military veterans, people with disabilities, previously incarcerated men and women, and those experiencing homelessness. We make it easier to get back to work, by providing wrap-around services for our employees including job coaching, rides to work and uniform materials when necessary. We take walk-ins to our office at 236 Auburn Ave (suite 203) Monday through Friday mornings at 9AM. Two forms of ID are required for application. If you're unable to work, First Step Benefits has attorneys on staff to help you make the most of the government support available to you. Transformation Tuesday 💛
Sometimes the biggest transformation begins with something simple: someone believing there’s still a way forward.
A little support. A little consistency. Someone willing to meet you where you are and remind you that your circumstances don’t define where your story ends.
Through First Step Staffing’s Disability Services, individuals receive personalized support as they navigate the disability benefits process and the challenges that can come along the way. For Stephanie, that support became part of finding her way forward.
Her journey reminds us that hope can return, dignity can be restored, and even during the hardest seasons, a first step can change everything.

A meaningful Day of Service with a very special connection. 💙
Eight Emory University MBA students volunteered their time to help nine First Step clients with resume building and mock interviews. Our clients left feeling empowered, with printed resumes in hand and big smiles!
Emory holds a special place in First Step’s story. Our late founder, Greg Block, was a proud Emory graduate, and having his alma mater continue to play such a meaningful role in the organization he built makes days like this even more special.

For the clients we serve, the answer goes far beyond a paycheck…
