A new week begins now. What is the one goal you will be chasing this week, and why?

We have commenced the closure of 2019. Most of us are casting our sights on 2020 already. In business, this is usually referred to as thinking ahead. If you are already "thinking ahead", let me suggest that you consider a full-on strategic planning initiative.

Though Strategic Planning is not a full-proof strategy for success, it can be the "lamp to light your feet in 2020" helping to conserve resources and ensuring adequate focus on what's important.

Most businesses will not engage in any kind of planning at all, choosing instead the "no plan plan" approach as it allows them to" be nimble". Some of us will rely on a "quick and dirty list of achievements, issues, and opportunities. Whatever you choose to do, please understand that "uncertainties" await us all come 2020.

Strategic Planning is not a hard thing to achieve. I suggest you read a book on it or search youtube videos. Talk to professionals such as me (I like to think I am one).

Whatever you reason is for your aversion to planning, make 2020 the year you approach your life and business with a strategic plan. You will be glad you did. I promise you!
