Y’all definitely got my attention with the response to our MAXView Tow Mirrors. 👀📷

After showing the original version, I received a lot of positive feedback—but I also kept hearing the same concern:

The price.

So instead of ignoring that feedback, I went back and created another option.

Introducing MAXView Standard. 🔥

The idea behind MAXView hasn’t changed: we integrate side-view cameras directly into the tow mirrors, giving older trucks access to a feature normally associated with much newer vehicles.

The Standard version gives customers a more affordable way to get into the MAXView system without needing all of the features available on our higher-end mirror configuration.

This is exactly why I like sharing the development process. The original video showed me there was real interest, and your feedback helped shape the next version of the product.

I have to give this customer some credit—they made a VERY nice equipment choice for this Ford Mustang. 👏🏾🔊

They supplied Focal speakers AND sound treatment.

A lot of people focus entirely on buying better speakers, but the environment those speakers are playing in matters too.

Your doors are made up of large panels that can resonate and vibrate as the speaker plays. Proper sound treatment can help control some of that unwanted noise and vibration, improve the speaker’s working environment, and help you hear more of what you actually paid for.

Think about it this way:

You can buy a great speaker, but why make it fight against unnecessary rattles, resonance, and road noise?

The Focals were already a great start. Adding sound treatment showed that this customer wasn’t just thinking about better equipment—they were thinking about the complete experience.

That’s how you get more out of your investment.

We installed this customer-supplied Android-style radio in a Toyota Corolla, and honestly…it was pretty decent. 😂🔥

If you’ve been following me, you know these aren’t typically the radios I recommend. My concerns have always been consistency, reliability, and what happens if you need support down the road.

But I also believe in keeping an open mind.

This one integrated nicely, gave the Corolla a much larger display, and the overall finished product looked really good.

Have I seen enough to completely change my opinion?

Not yet.

But I’ve definitely seen enough to make me think there might be something here worth exploring. 👀

That’s part of being in this industry—you can’t be so stuck in your ways that you aren’t willing to see when products start getting better.

We’ll keep testing them. 🛠️

If you’ve followed me for a while, you already know I’m usually not a huge fan of these Android-style radios. 😂

But I’m going to give credit where it’s due…

This customer brought us a radio specifically designed for their 2015 Toyota Corolla, featuring a large 10–12-inch-style display, and after getting everything installed…

I actually liked it. 👀🔥

The larger screen completely modernized the interior, and because the unit was designed around this specific vehicle, the finished installation integrated nicely into the dash.

It actually has me reconsidering whether Maximum Audio should start offering carefully selected Android-style radios ourselves.

My hesitation has never really been about the features or appearance. It’s the potential headaches with quality control, long-term reliability, technical support, and consistency between manufacturers.

But there’s another side to that.

If customers are going to buy these radios anyway, maybe there’s value in us sourcing units we trust, testing them, and giving customers a product that we can actually support from purchase through installation.

I’m still on the fence. 😂

So I’m curious:

This Ford Mustang needed a little more LOW END. 🔊🔥

Instead of going with a large enclosure and separate amplifier, we kept this build simple with an Alpine 10-inch powered subwoofer mounted in the trunk.

Because the amplifier is built into the enclosure, powered subs are a great solution for customers who want:

For this upgrade, we accessed the rear deck and replaced the factory rear speakers.

While your front speakers are typically responsible for most of the soundstage, the rear speakers can provide additional fill and help create a fuller listening experience throughout the cabin.

It’s a straightforward upgrade, but getting to those rear deck speakers requires some disassembly—which is exactly why some customers would rather leave it to us. 🛠️

We got our first one-star review, and I’d be lying if I said it didn’t hurt.

I’ve put a lot into building Maximum Audio and maintaining a reputation for giving people great experiences. So when you feel like you genuinely did your best and still receive that one star, it can hit you personally.

There’s more context and some misunderstanding behind what happened, but that conversation is for another day. This video really isn’t about defending ourselves.

It’s about what the experience taught me.

I had to take some time, have a conversation with God, and remind myself that I can’t build this business chasing ratings.

Of course I want five stars. Of course I want every customer to leave happy. And when we fall short, I want us to learn from it.

But ultimately, I believe there’s a bigger purpose behind what I’m building.

I believe God gave me certain gifts and put me on this path to serve people and create great experiences through this business.

A five-star review doesn’t define that purpose.

And neither does a one-star review.

So we’re going to keep showing up, keep learning, keep improving, and keep serving people the best way we know how.

That’s the mission.

Not every audio upgrade has to turn into a full system build. Sometimes you just need to fix the problem. 🔊👌

This Ford Mustang came in with a noticeable rattle coming from the front speaker.

We pulled the lower factory speaker and replaced it with a Kicker coaxial speaker, giving the customer a clean replacement and getting rid of that unwanted sound.

Quick. Simple. Effective.

That’s something we always try to determine at Maximum Audio—what does the customer actually NEED?

If one speaker is causing the problem, you don’t necessarily need thousands of dollars in equipment. Sometimes the right speaker in the right location is all it takes to MAXIMIZE your experience.

“Can you install it on MY vehicle?”

We get this question all the time—and this newer Mercedes-Benz GLE is a perfect example of why our answer is usually YES. 📹🛠️

The customer wanted a BlackVue front and rear dash camera system, but finding the correct power source on this vehicle wasn’t as simple as grabbing the first fuse that showed 12 volts.

Even after shutting the vehicle down, many of the circuits we tested remained powered. That meant we had to dig deeper, test the vehicle properly, and find a trigger that actually behaved the way we needed it to.

We found it. ✅
Integrated the system. ✅
Front and rear cameras installed. ✅
Cleaned everything up. ✅

That’s the part of professional installation people don’t always see.

Sometimes the job isn’t difficult because of the product—it’s difficult because every vehicle is different, especially as modern vehicle electronics become more complex.

That’s why we test, troubleshoot, and find a solution instead of guessing.

I was SICK when I had to pull this tint off. 😭😂 But it was probably time.

I recently got pulled over, and when the officer tested my windows, they were reading around 4%. He gave me the opportunity to remove the tint and have the citation reduced to a warning, so that’s exactly what I did.

The crazy part is…I can’t even say I completely disagree anymore.

I had been driving around with roughly 5% on the sides and 35% on the windshield for so long that I was used to it. But at night? That car was DARK. I didn’t even like other people driving it because I knew how difficult the visibility could be if you weren’t accustomed to it.

Now that I’m turning 30, I guess it’s time to make some slightly more responsible decisions. 😂

So when I retinted the car, I went with 20% instead.

I still get the privacy and clean appearance I want, but I can see considerably better at night, and I feel better about the visibility for myself and everyone else on the road.

I’m not going to lie…I still miss how that 5% LOOKED. 😂 But sometimes the best upgrade is finding the right balance between appearance, privacy, and safety.
