Education is a passion for our physical therapists. We love teaching and learning alongside our Inspire Health community members.
Last week, our PTs Eleanore Purser and Nadine Paull, led Stronger With Age, a strength training workshop. They explored how strength training can help build a more resilient body through midlife and beyond.
When learning about health and fitness, it can be difficult to separate the science from the trends. Our physical therapists want to help!
Let us know which topics you’d like us to cover during our next workshop.

GROW YOUR PILATES CAREER WITH A TEAM THAT INVESTS IN YOU!
Imagine teaching Pilates somewhere that treats it as the serious, transformative practice it is, surrounded by instructors, educators, and physical therapists who share that same standard.
That’s Inspire Health.
We’re looking for dedicated, career-minded Pilates Instructors, full or part-time, who want more than just a place to teach. We want to help you build a place to grow, learn, and develop your career.
As Georgia’s only STOTT PILATES® Academy Partner, Inspire Health is built around education, mentorship, and mindful movement, not just filling class schedules.
What you can expect at Inspire:
• Competitive compensation with real growth potential
• Flexible scheduling that supports work-life balance
• Discounts on services, retail, and continuing education
• Three complimentary workshops each year
• Direct mentorship from STOTT PILATES® Instructor Trainers and Physical Therapists
• Experienced management and front desk support, so you can focus on teaching
• Opportunities for advancement, including the potential to become a STOTT PILATES® Instructor Trainer
• Paid time off for full and part-time team members
• Health care stipend for full and part-time team members
We believe great instructors are always learning. They ask questions, refine their craft, collaborate with other movement professionals, and stay curious about how they can better serve their clients.
If you’re ready to build a career in movement, not just fill a class schedule, we’d love to meet you.

Your low back might be doing more work than it should.
When your thoracic spine or shoulders don’t move well, your body still has to find a way to accomplish the task you’re asking it to do.
And sometimes, that means asking the low back to pick up the slack.
Think about reaching overhead, rotating, or extending your spine. These movements require coordination between your shoulders, thoracic spine, ribs, and pelvis. If the upper part of that system is limited, the lumbar spine may compensate by moving more than it should.
That doesn’t mean your low back is “the problem.” It may simply be the part of the system that’s doing more work to create the movement you need.
This is one reason we don’t always treat pain by focusing only on the painful area.
Your PT may look at your shoulder mobility, thoracic rotation, rib movement, hip mobility, and even how you breathe to understand the bigger picture.

Finished with PT, but not quite ready to go it alone?
Sometimes the hardest part of finishing Physical Therapy isn’t knowing what exercises to do. It’s feeling confident and comfortable getting back into fitness.
That’s where Pilates with a PT can be a great next step.
This small group class is designed for people who are transitioning out of PT, managing a chronic condition, or simply looking for a slower-paced, essential-level Pilates class with plenty of modifications and guidance.
You’ll have the opportunity to keep building strength, coordination, mobility, and confidence in a supportive environment while learning how to listen to your body and adapt movement when needed.
And with only 6 participants per class, you’ll still get plenty of individual attention from your PT.
Pilates with a PT is a bridge, not a replacement for Physical Therapy. If you still need one-on-one treatment, this class isn’t a substitute. But if you’re ready to keep moving and want a little extra guidance along the way, it may be the perfect place to start.
Join us:
• Monday at 2:00 PM with Meg Hale, PT, DPT
• Tuesday at 8:00 AM with Nadine Paull, PT, DPT
• Wednesday at 2:00 PM with Eleanore Purser, PT, MSPT
• Thursday at 2:00 PM with Savannah Hood, PT, DPT
• Friday at 11:00 AM with Savannah Hood, PT, DPT

Meet Kyra!
We’re so excited to welcome Kyra Kumbalek PT, DPT to the Inspire Health team!
Kyra earned her Bachelor of Science in Health and Exercise Science from the University of Oklahoma before earning her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Mercer University here in Atlanta.
Since becoming a PT, Kyra has continued to expand her clinical expertise through advanced training in myofascial trigger point dry needling and pelvic floor rehabilitation, with a special interest in pregnancy and postpartum care.
Her approach to Physical Therapy is highly individualized. Kyra combines therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, and manual interventions to create a treatment plan that fits each person’s needs, goals, and lifestyle.
We especially love that Kyra looks beyond the injury itself. Her goal is to help each client get back to the activities and experiences that matter most to them.
And she’s not done learning yet! Kyra is training to become a STOTT PILATES® certified instructor, making her another wonderful connection between our PT and Pilates communities.
Kyra is bringing knowledge, curiosity, and a passion for helping people move well to our Inspire Team.
To schedule with Kyra call (404)-605-9091 or book an appointment through your MindBody app.
Your future self will thank you for the muscle you build today.
