Founded in 2018 by Cammie Wolf Rice in memory of her son, Christopher, CWC Alliance is a 501(c)(3) non-profit on a mission to prevent opioid misuse and addiction before it begins. In addition to our extensive advocacy efforts, our evidence-based programs provide education, mental wellness skills training, and pain management strategies directly to inpatient and outpatients experiencing a health crisis. CWC’s Life Care Specialists work within hospitals, delivering dedicated support to patients and healthcare professionals, while our innovative Care Coach training program extends our reach and resources to youth, parents, teachers, and community leaders alike. Today, we honor Christopher Wolf’s 10th Heavenly Birthday.
Ten years ago, our founder, Cammie Wolf Rice, lost her son Christopher – her oldest child, a hugger, someone who was curious, energetic, and kind to his core. As she has said, “My Christopher had a heart as big as his smile.”
Christopher is the reason CWC Alliance exists. Every Life Care Specialist we train, every family we educate, every hospital that adopts our model – it all traces back to him.
Today isn’t just about grief. It’s about gratitude for who he was and the lives being protected in his name.
