I love the pairing of round pedestal tables with low-armed sofas or banquettes.

Basements continue to be a most satisfying renovation for me.

Why?

It not only transforms the space, but it also transforms the way the family lives and plays!

It begins with a drawing…

No need to sacrifice style just because you have kids and pets.

This family-friendly space can endure everything from crayons to muddy paws.

One challenge in working with basement renovations is dealing with basement windows.

Sometimes I simply make a whole lot of something out of a whole lot of nothing!

Working with windows as lovely as these, my goal was to frame them in soft folds of beautiful textiles then let the windows shine!

My go-to resource for drapery fabrics?

The Master Bedroom:

In no other room is the balance of tactile and visual more important, and as a designer... more exciting to create!

This is not just another pretty shower.

It was thoughtfully designed to mimic the luxurious drenching of a summer downpour for a soothing, relaxing experience.

Overhead Rain Shower

To ground this light, bright space, I chose a warm walnut stain for the cabinetry.

This wood finish takes the hard edge off a contemporary space, offering a sense of balance.

Area rugs can help ground a grouping of furniture and be a welcome respite from cold stone and concrete.

If you’re stuck and looking for a jumping off point for a fresh, new color scheme, start from the ground up!
