A few weeks ago, some of our ConDUC Executive Team, mentors, and mentees had the opportunity to attend the American Urological Association Reception in Washington, DC. It was a great evening of meaningful conversations, new connections, and celebrating the value of mentorship within our community.
Bringing together students, mentors, and professionals in one space creates opportunities to learn from one another, build lasting connections, and strengthen our community!

For decades, African American men have been underrepresented in prostate cancer research, limiting our understanding of a disease that disproportionately affects this population.
The SCOPE Registry is working to close that gap by building a robust, longitudinal database that will help researchers answer important questions about disease biology, treatment patterns, and patient outcomes.
Better data today can lead to better care tomorrow.

As June comes to a close, Men’s Health Month serves as an important reminder that health is not something to think about once a year.
Prostate Cancer is one of the most commonly diagnosed cancers among men, and early detection often depends on timely screening and open discussions with a healthcare provider.
Take time to talk to your doctor, get screened, and understand your personal risk factors. Early conversations can lead to earlier detection and better outcomes.
