"Take me out to the ballgame," or at least get us to Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre on Monday, October 5 for a Field Trip performance of Synchronicity Theatre's CATCHING THE MOON, a blues-infused musical based on the young Toni Stone. We're so excited to share this story celebrating the power of determination, the thrill of the game, and the courage it takes to change it forever. Our Artrageous field trip at Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre yesterday was one to remember! Full audience participation with students (and teachers!) dancing, singing, and helping to create artwork to talk about. We hosted another fantastic Coffee Connections conversation with the artists prior to the performance, moderated by ArtsBridge Executive Director, Thomas Fowlkes. With the help of both our generous volunteers and sponsors (VyStar Credit Union & Backpack Buddies of Metro Atlanta) we prepared Snack Packs for every student in attendance. AND due to the generosity of our staff at Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, Cobb Convention Center Atlanta, and ArtsBridge, every school in attendance left with Arts Supplies kits. It was a special day! Art is a conversation, to interact with, and it can save lives. An impactful start to our Season of Impact, indeed. Thank you to everyone involved.
