Ironworkers Local No. 387

Local 387 is saddened by the passing of our Brother Bobby Phillips Book No. 1197327. Bobby was born on January 16th, 1949. Brother Phillips joined Local 387 on March 1st, 1993 and was an active member even into retirement. Bobby passed on June 29th, 2026.

Visitation will be today, July 6th from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm at the Willie A. Watkins West End Chapel located at 1003 Ralph David Abernathy Blvd. Atlanta, GA 30310.

Services will take place tomorrow, July 7th beginning at 3:00 pm at the Willie A. Watkins West End Chapel located at 1003 Ralph David Abernathy Blvd. Atlanta, GA 30310.

It is with a heavy heart that we share news of the passing of Brother
William "Bill' Bickerstaff, Book No. 1181275 of Parrott, GA. William was born to Robert H. and Ruth Norris Bickerstaff in Albany, GA on December 10th, 1947. Brother Bickerstaff entered membership with Local 387 on August 1st, 1978 and worked in the trade until retirement in 2010. Bill moved to Lifetime membership on June 1st, 2013. Brother William Bickerstaff passed on March 21st, 2026. Bill was interred with family in Newton, GA.

Walt Wise, 12th General President of the International Association has passed away on February 12th, 2026. Serving the members in multiple roles for many years, Walt was chosen to lead our International from 2011 through 2015. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers.
