Maureen holds a Master’s in Development Practice from Emory University and brings more than 15 years of nonprofit and community development experience in the United States and internationally.

Throughout her career, Maureen has remained committed to supporting community-led change, creating spaces of belonging, and equipping people to shape change in their own lives and communities. Her experience and passion is perfectly aligned with our commitment to building lasting relationships across the lines that often keep people apart.

Two weeks ago, Zantofvea “Zan” Tomlin-Walker made it to phase 4 of The Launchpad program.

In a room filled with her family, business coaches, cohort members, and community stakeholders, Zan shared the journey of building and made a pitch for tailored support as she expands her inclusive stationary brand to launch wrapping paper and a monthly subscription service. Zan reminded us of what can be created when you possess the gift of making others feel seen.

We are so proud of what Zan has accomplished within her time in The Launchpad, and will continue to cheer her on in this next chapter of her entrepreneurship journey.

Every community has its own story, strengths, and challenges. Meaningful change begins when we take the time to listen, understand, and respond together.

That’s the heart of Designing Reconciled Communities, a 10-week guided experience that equips churches to engage more deeply with the communities around them.

Participants will learn by doing, exploring real challenges through the context of their own neighborhoods and working together toward thoughtful, faithful responses.

This fall, we’re inviting up to 15 churches to be part of the pilot experience, in partnership with the Center for Lifelong Learning at Columbia Theological Seminary.

Over the last several years, we’ve been privileged to welcome interns from 's summer internship program at Remerge. This summer, we were lucky enough to spend 8 weeks with Rachel and Tolu.

Throughout the summer, they brought so much warmth, curiosity, and insight to our team, community, and partners. They explored the process of building community, immersed themselves in the history of Sweet Auburn, learned about the complications of poverty, including the realities of living in food deserts and lacking access to basic needs.

We're incredibly grateful for the time we shared with Rachel and Tolu and can't wait to see where their journeys take them next. Thank you both for spending your summer with us!
