Early Assets

Training should always lead with connection. Bring learning back to the basics.
"Me First, Then You"

Thankful for the opportunity to celebrate BCDI-Atlanta for receiving an award from Georgia Reads, through the Georgia Council on Literacy. This included an early event "Read with Malcolm" by Malcolm Mitchell.

I love living out my passion! Thank you to the After-School All-Stars Atlanta team working together to create safe spaces for "youth voice".

Educators....watching the sunrise is a process. Each and every morning this early process prepares us for a new day. What is your early morning process to start your day? What do you have in place to shine?

I had the awesome opportunity to visit Hamilton E. Holmes Elementary (Fulton County Schools) as a volunteer for "Read for the Record". What a time we had learning new vocabulary words and making new friends!!!

First aid and CPR is essential for Early Childhood Educators!
First aid can help you save lives by providing basic treatment until professional medical help arrives. You don't need to know everything to perform CPR. If someone is unresponsive and needs CPR, you can call 911 and put your phone on speaker mode. A dispatcher can walk you through the steps to take.

Yes, I will stop in the middle of a workshop....and be very human! Give a hug or a high five...whatever fits the moment. My purpose is to create a safe space to facilitate the conversation for all participants....including myself....To Learn. To Share. To Empower.

I love conferences! I always see familiar faces and make new friends!!!
