9 days away from my normal routine and somewhere between the runs, the family time, the cooking with my mama, the long talks, and simply slowing down… I realized how tired I actually was.

Not physically.

Mentally.
Creatively.
Emotionally.

I think I needed the reminder that rest isn’t something we earn after we’ve exhausted ourselves. It’s a necessity.

Grateful for the pause. Grateful for the people. Grateful to be back.

Now let’s get to work.

not cutting everything out.
not surviving off air pudding and wind sauce 😭

just finding realistic ways to enjoy food while staying consistent 💪🏽

nothing brings a family together like a little unnecessary competition 😭🏃🏽‍♀️

so this month’s family day was a 1.5 mile run at Paces Mill… and somehow Cairo ended up turning into an elite athlete with one shoe on 😭
