Can we talk about why no one has picked Atlas yet?
All of his siblings have been adopted. Even his mama found her forever home. Somehow, this sweet boy keeps getting overlooked.
And honestly? We see it over and over again. Black dogs, especially black male dogs in that teenage stage, are some of the hardest to get adopted. Everyone wants the tiny puppy or the dog who’s already several years old.
But Atlas? He’s the best of both worlds.
He may technically still be a puppy, but he acts far more mature than his age. He’s potty trained, crate trained, great on a leash, wonderful with kids, respectful in the home, and already has so much experience under his belt.
Instead of bringing home a tiny, teething dinosaur who is going to turn your house upside down, you could bring home Atlas — a young dog who has already gotten a head start on becoming the incredible companion he’s meant to be.
He’s silly, sweet, cuddly, well-mannered, and truly one of a kind. And while he may have gotten unlucky when it comes to finding his forever family, he has been incredibly lucky to have a wonderful foster home giving him everything he needs in the meantime.
Now he just needs someone to finally see him.
If you’re looking for a young dog without all the chaos of the baby puppy stage, Atlas could be your guy. Apply for Atlas today. 🖤

Natalie Update 💜
Natalie is such a sweet, gentle girl, and one of the things we love most about her is how wonderful she is with kids. She has been around children ages 3–10 and has been incredibly patient and gentle with them. She’s the kind of dog who seems to understand that little ones need a little extra patience and kindness.
She is house trained, although she doesn’t quite know how to let you know when she needs to go outside yet, so she’ll do best with a consistent potty schedule while she learns.
The best part? Natalie doesn’t need anything special — she just needs someone to give her the love, patience, and forever home she deserves. She has so much love to give and would make such a wonderful addition to a family.

Yesterday, Alaskan spent an hour just sitting in the grass. 🥹❤️
He’s a 4-year-old Chihuahua mix, and like so many little dogs, we don’t know how much of the world he’s really gotten to experience.
His foster put his leash on, and the three of them went outside and sat together in the yard. And for an entire hour, they just enjoyed being there.
It seemed like Alaskan hadn’t spent much time in the grass before. But he loved it. And honestly, there’s something so special about watching a dog discover the simple things we often take for granted.
Alaskan is shy and still learning to trust. He can be a flight risk, so he’ll need a patient, understanding person who will keep him safe while he finds his confidence.
But his foster says he would be the perfect little companion for someone who just wants a dog to follow them around all day and curl up in their lap in the evening.
No big adventures. No busy schedule. Just a little shadow who wants to be near his person.
And maybe that’s all Alaskan has ever really wanted. Someone to feel safe with. Someone to love. Somewhere to finally belong. ❤️
Alaskan is looking for a foster or adopter willing to give him the time and patience he deserves.

❤️ Gus deserves a soft place to land.
At around 10 years old and 78 pounds, Gus has already been through more than any senior dog should have to face. And now, he needs someone to give him a chance.
About a month ago, Gus’s former owner was arrested. When his family was unable to find him a place to go, Gus ended up in a rural Colorado dog holding facility, where his future was uncertain. That’s when we stepped in and brought him into rescue.
As we’ve gotten to know more about Gus, one thing has become very clear: this boy has so much love to give. ❤️
Despite everything he’s been through, Gus absolutely LOVES people. He is a sweet senior who deserves a comfortable bed, a peaceful home, and someone who will remind him every day that he matters.
Gus has quite a few lumps and bumps, and while he hasn’t been evaluated by a vet yet, we know he deserves to have his health looked into and to be comfortable and loved every step of the way.
At his age and given his current condition, we also want to be prepared for the possibility that Gus may need a hospice foster. We don’t know what his medical journey will look like yet, but whatever comes next, we want him to have someone by his side and a home where he feels safe.
Gus needs a quiet home where he can be the only pet. He is not dog-friendly or cat-friendly, so he will need to be the only animal in the household.
We know opening your home to a senior dog with unknown medical needs is a big ask. But somewhere out there, we hope there is someone who sees Gus and understands that he deserves a chance to experience the comfort, security, and love every dog should know.
Could you be the person who gives Gus that chance?
If you have a quiet, pet-free home and room in your heart for this sweet senior, please reach out to LOLA’s Rescue.
Let’s give Gus the soft place to land he deserves. ❤️
