Postpartum depressive symptoms affect 1-in-8 mothers, with a disproportionate impact on women of color. The leading cause of pregnancy-related deaths is mental health conditions.
In 2025, our Parents as Teachers program trained three parent educators to become Certified Doulas. Doulas assist mothers with post-partum care and breastfeeding and help create a positive and empowering experience. Doulas are incredibly beneficial for the families we serve, especially for young mothers.
