The Icosa Collective family have heavy hearts, as we have lost one of our original members, Bethelhem Makonnen.
Bete was a member when we found our inaugural s**ce in 2016, and she played an integral role in our beginnings. She helped build our first gallery, but more importantly, she helped build the spirit of our collective. Her contributions were invaluable in the growth of our organization in those early years. She was the most genuine, supportive and encouraging person. She always showed up with an infectious smile, and gave the warmest hugs.
Bete will always be remembered as an incredibly thoughtful artist that impacted so many in our community.
We will miss her dearly.

ICOSA Collective is pleased to announce “Family Ties”, a summer group exhibition and fundraiser featuring works from current ICOSA members, alumni, and community friends. In a time where the world feels dispersed, divided, and uncertain, coming home to our chosen “family” can remind us of who we are, how we are connected, and why art is so essential to our existence and future.

ICOSA Collective’s 3rd annual fundraiser will support our mission, operations, and ongoing programming, such as Window Dressing, Soundscape, and Open Space group exhibitions. The July 10th opening reception and fundraiser will include artwork from our robust artist community, food & drinks, music, and a live aluminum pour!

Art Exhibit:
5 x 7 Art wall! Purchase original 5” x 7” artwork for $125 created by local Austin artists

ICOSA Friends and Family exhibitions Purchase artwork created by current collective members and alumni for $500 or less.

A $20 ticket includes:
Open Bar with cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages
Small bites and desserts

A $50 ticket includes all of the above plus:
A sand mold tile called a “scratch block”. You carve your design into the block and we pour molten aluminum in them! You walk away with your own original piece of art! The pour will be happening at the event with Erin Cunningham and crew.
