It’s time to spotlight Fort Boggy State Park, a park that is as quiet as it is charming. Since opening in 2001, visitors have enjoyed its slow pace, dark skies, and tranquil waters.

Offering 3 different levels of hiking loops, overnight stay options, and plenty of selfie spots. This park has everything you need to enjoy the chic outdoors!

At Sea Rim State Park, even the locals like to greet you right at the entrance. American alligators call this park home thanks to its spot in the Gulf Prairies and Marshes natural region.

The marshes provide important breeding and foraging habitat for many species.

Alligator Safety:
🏊‍♂️ Swim only in designated areas if swimming is allowed
🍎 Never feed or harass alligators
🐊 Notify a park employee if you see an alligator near any swimming area

Time to hit a new trail! 🎉

Honey Creek State Natural Area, located right next to Guadalupe River State Park, is officially opening its trailhead tomorrow!

This new trailhead gives you access to 3.5 miles of beautiful hiking trails in the southwest portion of the park. Trails are open from 7am to 7pm, and access is by reservation only. Please note that there are no public water refill stations yet, so be sure to bring plenty of water.

This opening is part of a multi-phase development for the park, with the Public Use Plan guiding what will come in future phases. We’re excited to see it all come together!
