Cousins Maine Lobster is coming back for another pop-up!🦞

Known for their wild-caught Maine lobster, they’ll be serving up a full menu of East Coast favorites right here in Austin. Whether you’re a lobster roll purist or looking to try something new, this is your chance to get a true taste of Maine.

June's Sign of the Month: Sway Thai 🪷✨

This month we're highlighting one of the signs we get asked about most often... the iconic neon lotus flower from Sway.

first opened on South First Street in Austin in 2012, bringing a fresh, Australian, take on Thai cuisine and quickly becoming one of the city's most recognizable restaurant brands. The lotus logo became just as memorable as the restaurant itself, glowing over countless date nights, celebrations, and dinners with friends.

Fun facts:
- The original lotus neon was designed by local sign maker, Evan Voyles, who built other iconic Austin signs such as Catfish Parlor, Lucky Lounge, and Genie car wash.
- The sign hanging at Sign Bar came from Sway's Domain location, with a second version later reproduced by Blackout Signs with slight color changes.

When Sway's original South 1st location permanently closed in 2021, the lotus sign was removed from the property. Today, it lives on here at Sign Bar as part of our collection of Austin history! And if you're craving the food, you can still visit Sway at their West Lake Hills location.

Throughout June, we'll be sharing more history, stories, and memories connected to this Austin favorite, along with a limited cocktail menu inspired by the sign's vibrant colors and tropical energy. 🍸
