From rubble to ranch.

Years before there was a structure on this site, our clients selected this Hill Country mix of local Texas stone and had it piled in the field, drawn to its natural variation in color, texture and character.

Executing it at this scale takes incredible precision. The flush joints are painstaking, and consistency matters, so we intentionally kept the masonry team small, with about five craftsmen carrying the work throughout the project.

Stone by stone, those piles in the field have become part of the architecture. We especially love the warm, varied Texas stone against the crisp steel windows by Rehme Architectural Systems.

When a client’s passion, the art of architecture, and exceptional craftsmanship come together, the result is pretty cool. This garage was designed and built around a serious love of cars, with floor-to-ceiling glass and integrated lifts making the collection part of the architecture.

The beauty is in the details. These oak cabinets were cerused, a finishing process that works pigment into the natural grain of the wood to bring out its texture and character. Even the pantry door disappears into the cabinetry, built completely flush so the grain and finish carry across the elevation.

Beautiful materials, thoughtful details and a lot of craftsmanship to make it all come together.

Designed by Cuppett Kilpatrick as part of a family compound along the Frio River, these guest houses draw from the restrained character of Texas Hill Country ranch architecture. Simple shed-roof forms, vertical wood siding and understated detailing allow the buildings to sit quietly within the landscape.

We enjoyed visiting the Austin Procore office to learn more about their AI solutions and think through what they could mean for Dalgleish.

The question we had in front of us was, “How can we use AI to make our team more efficient with repetitive tasks, while keeping relationships at the center of how we work?”

One thing we know for sure is that, while technology can be a great tool, we will always keep relationships at the heart of what we do and continue to pursue excellence in all that we do.

As the weather starts to cool down, this screened porch becomes the perfect spot to settle in for the season. A comfortable place to enjoy a slow morning, have dinner, or spend an evening.

The kitchen cabinetry from Eggersmann USA gives the space its clean, streamlined look, with every detail carefully integrated into the architecture. One of our favorite details is the hidden door within the cabinetry, which leads to a separate reading and napping room tucked just off the kitchen.

Reclaimed wood brings a sense of history and character to this home.

The original beams were given new life here, with their weathered texture and natural imperfections left visible throughout the living room and kitchen. Paired with clean white walls and more refined finishes, the old wood gives these spaces a warmth that would be hard to recreate any other way.

This property looked very different when we first arrived. With no road access and years of native growth, the site was about as untouched as you could find. We carefully worked a new road through the cedars, designing around the heritage trees and opening up the property while preserving the character that made it special. Six months in, it’s already come a long way.
