It was amazing working with , , and on this episode of The Grand Tour!!

Huge thanks to everyone involved to give me a shot at being a part of this amazing handoff!!

Big news and the timing lined up with our Amazon Grand Tour premiere earlier this week 🎬

The shop is transitioning: going forward I'm only taking 1 car/month (or less depending on build length) as we shift focus to a new non-profit — The First Gear Initiative. Its mission: teaching automotive, technical, design, and vocational skills to young adults facing tough circumstances (legal, social, chemical, etc.) so they have a real path forward.

Quick FAQ:

🔧 New basic maintenance customers — not taking any. Working on finding a shop that actually knows JDM/kei-class quirks to refer you to.

⛽ Carbs — done, unless it's an EFI conversion. I'm an EFI kid at heart and carb troubleshooting eats too much time.

🚗 Cars currently in the shop — finishing up ASAP, or we'll arrange free transport to another shop to complete the job.

⚙️ What's next — going back to my roots: using my engineering background (and my own fleet of keis) to design and upgrade kei parts, especially expanding EFI conversion kits beyond Honda/Subaru to Suzuki, Daihatsu, and Mitsubishi.

❌ What I won't do — reinvent the wheel. No new cupholders, light mounts, etc. — the folks already making great kei parts earned that space and I'll keep supporting them.

✅ What stays the same — if I stumble onto something random and useful along the way, I'll still post those files free, like always.

Hey y'all, haven't posted in a while as have been trying to get all backlog knocked out before we announce some huge news. In the meantime if you are doing a battery relocation with an AntiGrav U1 and have (or have a friend with) a 3D printer...feel free to use this! Modeled it up real quick yesterday and printed out of TPU 95A to be a tray/isolator!

I'll be getting back to work at the shop and normal content next week...BUUTTTTTT I have to give a huge shoutout to Anne Obrien and the rest of the SAFSC skaters (including my 15yo Jax) for being the 2026 ISI WORLD CHAMPIONS!!!

Have to brag on our 16yo Tristan who just passed his drivers test!!!

Hey y'all...as we continue to design new parts for all the keis we get in...

TOMORROW (July 6th) we start the sale for Texas Container 10! Low-cost container shipping for anything you need from Japan. Wheels, body kits, exhausts, suspension (since gas charged items can no longer be airshipped), etc. Anything you want or need that would otherwise cost you $1000+ to ship to the states.

In between customer parts pickups I let Jax puck out some wheels for the Autozam dump truck...then wrapped them in Mudstar All-Terrains...

How y'all think he did choosing?!? Maybe we should do something to win this dump....hmm.....
