Now imagine a room designed to help you do exactly that. Welcome to the Therapeutic Healing Room.

Or as many of us affectionately call it, the Caregiver Room. When we began designing The Community Center, we asked ourselves a simple question:
Who takes care of the caregivers?

Foster parents spend their days caring for children who have experienced loss, trauma, uncertainty, and change.

They show up for appointments, school meetings, biological family visits, court hearings, therapy sessions, and countless moments in between.

But who creates space for them to be cared for?
This room is our answer.

The moment you walk inside, it feels less like an office and more like a luxury wellness retreat. Soft textures. Comfortable swivel chairs. A sense of calm.

One of the room’s most beautiful features is a custom therapeutic sensory installation created and donated by our friend Millie. This one-of-a-kind piece invites people to slow down, engage their senses, and become grounded in the present moment.

Because healing isn’t always found in words.

Sometimes healing begins when the nervous system finally feels safe enough to rest. This room will serve many purposes. It will be a place where caregivers meet one-on-one with their case manager.

A place where individuals can receive therapy and counseling. A place where youth who have aged out of foster care can process, heal, and dream about what’s next. A place for breastfeeding mothers. A place for quiet reflection. A place to step away from the noise and simply be.

Because every person deserves moments of restoration. Even the ones who spend their lives caring for everyone else. And because hospitality matters deeply, you’ll also find a refrigerator stocked with beverages and refreshments for those who need a moment to recharge.

Sometimes the most powerful thing we can offer someone isn’t advice. It’s a comfortable chair, a quiet room, and permission to rest.
