During the most recent Solstice, just a few months into my journey as a new mother, I released my debut full-length annu album, EXPERIENCE. Yesterday, while designing my new live show and listening to the songs, I had an epiphany:

Throughout my entire life, while writing music, I have assumed that I was writing about the past. But, listening to "Water," "Time," "Needed..." I recognize that I am, often, writing for my future self.

I have long referred to records and songs as "time capsules..." but I hadn't realized that they may be capsules from the future, rather than the past.

These tracks took on a profound new meaning for me and left me in tears as I heard my past self speaking to me now, in my role as a new mother. These weren't songs about being pregnant or longing to create this future... these were songs about being in the throws of a wild transformation. They are humbling and nurturing and I'm so grateful to have them with me today.

I am awed at the way songs can take on new meanings, given time and listened to from a new circumstance. And, the meanings shift their shapes for each person that takes in the music. Art is so powerful, and I'm so grateful that I allow myself to explore in this way.

From this new perspective, I am so eager to share the songs from the stage again. Yes. 💜

November was a fantastic month. I fulfilled an amazing dream, playing a massive stage, with a beautiful, immersive display and stunning sound system… at Johnson Space Center—home of Mission Control! It was so amazing to share brand new songs on this stage at the event! I included songs from my debut full-length album, which I’ll be releasing THIS MONTH…
