"We are so obsessed with software adoption metrics that we completely forget to measure whether our people still trust each other's data."
This is the transformation metric blind spot.
Organizations invest in new systems. They track adoption religiously:
→ How many people logged in this week?
→ What is our active user percentage?
→ Are teams using the features?
→ Did adoption hit our target?
They celebrate when 85 percent of users are active in the system. Transformation success declared.
But they never ask the question that actually matters:
→ Does finance trust the sales data in the CRM?
→ Does operations trust the inventory numbers from the warehouse system?
→ Does product trust the customer feedback being logged?
→ Do teams actually believe the data or do they verify it through other channels?
You can have 100 percent software adoption and zero transformation value if nobody trusts the data being entered.
The software is working. Everyone is logging in. But the people do not trust each other's inputs.
When data trust is broken:
→ Teams maintain shadow spreadsheets to verify system data
→ People re-enter information to be sure it is accurate
→ Reports get ignored because the numbers seem wrong
→ Decisions get made based on informal checks, not the system
High adoption metrics. Low data trust. No transformation value.
POLL:
LIKE: We explicitly measure data trust between teams
LOVE: We assume adoption means data trust exists
CARE: We measure data trust informally through complaints
WOW: This question is making me realize we should measure this

One behavioural truth: alignment survives when teams make commitment visible - not just in slides, but in daily decisions. We launched a white paper that pulls this from the trenches: when leaders codify a small, shared decision rule (what we call a LIFT anchor), people default to the same trade-offs under pressure. The result: fewer side-projects, clearer escalation, and a team that stays together when priorities flip. When a transformation project collapses, we say the obvious: name what went wrong and rebuild trust with the team - not another shiny initiative. Read the full practitioner playbook to run Monday’s debrief and protect morale. https://wix.to/BpGu5GY 🔍🤝
How to Rebuild Team Morale After a Failed Transformation Start by naming what happened. The AI pilot failed. The cloud migration stalled. The digital transformation that promised to change everything delivered nothing. Your team knows it. They were there. The worst thing a transformation leader can do right now is pretend the failure was just a "learning....

Transformation gets messy when ex*****on begins - and that’s when leadership matters. I treat momentum as a repeatable discipline, not a motivational spike: clarify the small bet that moves work forward, reallocate attention ruthlessly, and make trade-offs explicit so teams can act despite ambiguity. If you’re mid-transformation and tired of tidy theory, let’s talk real tactics that keep delivery steady. https://wix.to/BKyf2IG 🚀🔧

"If your change management strategy relies entirely on town halls and email announcements, your transformation is already dead in the water."
Organizations treat change management like a communications problem. It is not.
THE BROADCAST APPROACH:
Schedule town halls. Send email announcements. Present slides explaining the change. Answer a few questions. Consider change management complete.
This approach treats people like recipients of information who will change behavior once properly informed.
It does not work.
WHY BROADCAST FAILS:
Town halls and emails are one-way mechanisms. They announce decisions already made. They do not:
→ Engage people in the change
→ Address the specific concerns individuals have
→ Involve people in solving implementation challenges
→ Create ownership of the change
Broadcasting information is change announcement, not change management.
WHAT ACTUALLY WORKS:
Organizations that succeed with transformation create mechanisms for active engagement:
→ Small group conversations where people can voice concerns without public pressure
→ Direct engagement with resisters to understand real barriers
→ Feedback loops that actually influence how change gets implemented
→ Distributed ownership so change happens WITH people not TO them
If your entire change management strategy fits neatly on a communications calendar, you do not have a change management strategy. You have a broadcast schedule.
POLL:
LIKE: We primarily use town halls and emails
LOVE: We primarily use direct engagement
CARE: We combine both approaches
WOW: Still figuring out what works
