The first stop on this artistic season’s Eurotour is the Middle Ages, focusing on the years c. 1100-1450 🌬️
At these concerts, you will hear chants by Hildegard von Bingen, the polyphonic brilliance of Guillaume de Machaut, raucous Italian dances from the time of The Decameron, & some Medieval theater from The Play of Daniel 👀
These performances explore some of the best & most characteristic Medieval music from across England, France, Germany, Spain, & Italy, as well as many of our Artistic Director’s favorites! 💙

Meet our Guest Conductor for this Saturday’s TEMP-oh, Adrienne Pedrotti Bingamon! 💙
Three times a year, Texas Early Music Project hosts a TEMP-oh, or community madrigal sing-along. Folks from all walks of life in the TEMP community participate—current core musicians, longtime patrons, and professional and amateur singers alike! Every TEMP-oh features a Guest Conductor who performs with TEMP and elsewhere in the Austin area. Adrienne is currently pursuing a SECOND master’s degree in Choral Conducting at UT Austin’s Butler School of Music. Here’s a little bit of what she has to say about Texas Early Music Project….
“TEMP is such a blessing to my musical life. When I started out in my musical career, I used to think that all early music sounded the same, but I was so wrong! TEMP and Danny Johnson opened my eyes and ears to the wide variety of techniques, trends, and styles within early music and how much it influences the music of today! It’s also interesting to consider how people’s general understanding of “early music” is such that upwards of 500 years of music gets put into one great big category, even though it spans entire cultures, kingdoms, religions, eras, plagues, wars, and societies. Especially when you consider how minutely specific the music industry is these days with regard to genres—like “glitch pop” or “folktronica”! TEMP helps to shine a light on music that would otherwise be totally lost to us, and in turn allows us to think differently about the music of today.”
Interested in learning more about early music and singing a little of it?! Come to TEMP-oh this Saturday at 3pm at First English Lutheran Church 🌹 RSVP at the link in our IG bio, or visit early-music.org ~

Announcing our 2026-2027 Season!! 🧳 🤩 EUROTOUR: A WONDROUS JOURNEY!
Season tickets are now available for our 2026-2027 artistic season! Texas Early Music Project invites you to join us on a journey of more than 600 years of musical transformation, gathered through our 39 years of exploring Early Music repertoire as an award-winning ensemble.
Apart from our annual Joy and Light: Delights of the Season concerts in December, we will present a concert season that will be an Early Music primer for both our long-time fans and for those newly attracted to Early Music. In these three programs (one each for the Medieval, Renaissance, and Early Baroque periods) you’ll hear some old (very, very old) favorites and discover many “new” early tunes—some that we haven’t performed in decades! It’s Early Music 101, but without a final exam. You’ll be transported by the sounds of rich and diverse cultures while tasting the harmonic palettes and musical delights of our music’s ancestors 🚗
Link in our bio to purchase season tickets, or visit early-music.org. Individual concert ticket sales coming soon 💙💙💙
