I make comedy, podcasts and jiujitsu. “Jamie Kilstein is amazing and I will be spreading the word. He has the spark that energized my conscience.

We need more comedians kicking it hard the way he does every night.” - Robin Williams

"Mixes music and rants to produce politically charged songs that echo the likes of Joe Strummer and Bill Hicks." - The Skinny UK

“Watching Jamie reminds me of why I got into comedy. It is like watching a combination of George Carlin and Bill Hicks.” – Janeane Garofalo

"Jamie Kilstein is at once irresistibly endearing and wonderfully audacious. Watching his work is like going to cuddle a puppy and having it hump your leg. But funnier." - Tim Minchin

“★ ★ ★ ★ … Politically engaged humour…The delivery is passionate, fast-paced and, when he uses notes for absolute precision, almost poetic.” – Bruce Dessau, The Standard UK

“★ ★ ★ ★ ★ — Kilstein, is to me eerily reminiscent of Bill Hicks and not in the sense of an astute impersonation but as if we are witness to some sort of Second Coming. Eloquent intelligence, razor-sharp wit and unconventionally convincing arguments. Kilstein is a special talent and one that I feel privileged for having seen at this early stage of his career.” – Broadway Baby

“★ ★ ★ ★ — This is beautifully, intelligently crafted stuff. Kilstein is possibly the most impressive writer/performer, I have seen – his set is so well written it could have a life apart from him and still be brilliant. Performed by him gives it an added oomph, but I have not been so aware of the writing quality of a comedy set this year.” – Kate Copstick, The Scotsman

You can now watch the full first episode of Blue Belts!

Putting it out there for $10 because we want to show streamers there’s an audience for a show like this. A show for us.

Every purchase helps me make more weird niche jiu-jitsu content.

First off: this nomination, playing off Broadway a few days next year and man. It’s one of the coolest things that’s ever happened to me.

Thank you SoHo Playhouse , Darren and Kevin James Doyle I can not wait to make some noise with you next year.

Thank you Tim Minchin Karen and the Gilded Balloon . I look up to you guys so much. When I dreamt of playing this venue I never thought it could be this magical and have touched my heart as much as it did. I’m more tired than I’ve ever been but I’m gonna miss you all more than words could express. Although that could be Stockholm syndrome.

Thank you Rory and Kate the two best techs I could have asked for. Thank you to all the artists i saw who inspired me to be better.

I don’t even know where im gonna live a month from now, but I know this fringe will be in my heart, and I’ll be better for it.

Last show tonight.

This fest has been the highest highs and lowest lows. But by far the highest highs were the people I’ve met.

First off Amanda Knox and I became instant best friends. Her and her entire family were my lifelines. So talented and kind and constantly looking to improve as an artist and as a person. And generous holy s**t. When you have been through it you either go walls up or you give back and she chose the latter. Amanda and Chris set the bar for people I want to surround myself with. (Also I had no idea who she was and the first time we met asked her name 3 times. Oops.)

Ira Glass and Susanna Fogel are both heroes of mine. To get to spend time with them and have Ira at my show was fu***ng wild. To be so successful and still looking to help the struggling artists is exactly who I want to be. Susanna’s writing I have read to get better at the craft, and without what Ira and birbiglia did, this show would not have happened. (Although also without Ira I wouldn’t have started my podcast career that ended poorly. So I guess it’s a wash.)

Second Best School Shooting holy s**t. The best writing and acting I have seen. These women showed me the kind of artist I want to be. I just wanted to run into a wall after, move to LA and get BETTER. The fact that they came to my show was wiiiiild and such a highlight I have held onto when things got tough. Also shout out to old pal Adam McKay for producing it!

There are too many other artists to name, many of whom I didn’t even get pictures with. Prop made me feel less crazy during my run in with christians and was an honor to have him at the show and Krystina I have looked up since I first met her in NYC 15 years ago or some s**t her show was unbelievable and a very good person to hype you up.

I’m still deep in this s**t, but reminding myself of all I already have accomplished feels good.

Audience reviews starting to come in. Even though my story is so wild and unique I was hoping it would help others and I’m so glad it is. This show is gonna be a word of mouth baby so thank you very very much.
